Website Consultation for Artists (or anyone)

— four hour one-on-one intensive —

The purpose of this consultation is to assist in setting up a website (in a blog format) that you can eventually manage and change yourself. Simplicity and ease are prime directives in this process. Once you master the basics of WordPress then you can maintain your own website.

Website will be made on wordpress.com and set up ahead of time prior to a four hour one-on-one intensive to refine the design and function of the website/blog, a facebook art page and and twitter site. Additional follow-up questions and guidance will be given to assist you in maintaining your own site. No website design software is required. WordPress sites are basically free, unless you want to opt for the pro status which allows for more control of design.
(Note: wordpress.com operates differently from wordpress.org, which requires that you have a hosting program to support the site.)

Consultation fee is $250.
Additional fees could be registration of a domain name for about $5-12/year,
$13 annually for mapping the domain name to the website/blog,
or $99 annually for premium level for more design control, domain registration and mapping.

Social Media Consultation for Artists (or anyone)

— three hour one-on-one intensive —

The purpose of this consultation is to assist in setting up a facebook business page, a twitter account, and a pinterest account. Basic instructions will be given for how to manage, maintain and integrate these sites for maximum exposure for your art.

Guidance will also be given for how to prepare images (using photoshop*) for posting on social media sites. Learn how to integrate blog posts and other links to your website on this sites.

I will assist you in making a social media posting calendar and give you tips for how to optimize your time spent working on these site…all with the purpose of sharing your art via social media, promoting yourself as an artist and telling the story of your art.

Consultation fee is $175.

*If you use another photo imaging software, then suggestions will be given for how your photos should appear on social media sites. I may not know all the details of other imaging software.
