Governing a large country
is like frying a small fish.
You spoil it with too much poking.
Center your country in the Tao
and evil will have no power.
Not that it isn’t there,
but you’ll be able to step out of its way.
Give evil nothing to oppose
and it will disappear by itself.
….I don’t know whose translation of the Tao te Ching this came from. I found it on a google search when I posted the December 2019 mandala that mentioned the ten thousand things (a phrase that means all that is manifested in the physical world).
I love the Tao, pronounced as dow as in ow (for boo-boo).
The Tao cannot be named, yet we cannot stop trying to do so….
